Nostalgia trip down memory lane to Forest Gate Hotel. Place felt familiar but odd, big TVs on the wall for sports nights. Bar person was friendly and the locals seemed to be enjoying the space. Will call in again when down that way.
Horrible hotel, even intended for workers, very cold, dirty linen, I wonder how to get an operating permit and I'm surprised that there are no controls here... I don't know, but I give my opinion that even in the places specially arranged for street people, they have better conditions compared to what I met here...
I know it's a budget room and it was ok for one night however both headboards on the beds in our room were broken and the room was very dusty. The building and interiors could do with some TLC.
I mean it's a budget hotel for sure, and price range it's incredibly cheap for London, but do not expect a clean room, we got bit in our beds, the fridge absolutely stunk of stale milk I advise you don't open it. You share showers and toilets and they're not the cleanliness, we got greated by a manager telling customers to "**** off and go through booking.com". If anyone complains about the cleanliness of the room they just ignore you and assume your wanting money back. But it's a good location and if they really put some money into better training, then they could make something worth staying in
It was really bad experience. The Knob of the room heater was broken and room was boiling and after asking the staff their reply was I am sorry we can't do anything. Most of the staff was very unwelcoming. There was no breakfast on Saturday morning because the lady responsible for, didn't show up that day so we had paid for breakfast but didn't got one. The fridge in the room was all broken and dirty..
